a handsome win will losen the purse strings

I think well see another striker signed pretty promptly if we get the kind of result arsenal got.

i remember alonso and garcia coming shortly after CL qualification was sealed and i think thats the way the club is run these days...only spending what weve got.

This is a HUGE game for exactly those reasons.

We need to spank this team and make the second leg a formality IMO.

Even a 2-0 might not be enough for us to swoop for any players just yet.

I bloody hope so man, fingers crossed. It makes sense to be cautious with the finances at this point. Hate these qualifiers, lets hope that we get automatic next year after we win prem

Hmm not so sure. 2-0 is a pretty comfortable victory in champions league-whovever you're playing.

2 nil with the away leg on neutral ground, you'd have to say we would be home and dry with our defensive strength too. Here we go, lets be havin ya!

And the 2nd leg is played on neutral territory.

Come on lads, make it 3-0 just to be sure.

You're almost certainly right, but one goal conceded "away" from home....

the defence is still rocky and unstable, seems a little misunderstanding when they try to play for offside.
just hope they get a solid goal scoring striker in soon, that will loosen the tight fisted old mans purse strings
