Good point. I thought it was an unnecessarily divisive post but I hadn't worked out the motive.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

If we dont challenge for the title next season, Rafa should go.

Our success in Europe is historic, but to quote the great man, the league is 'the bread and butter', we've been waiting far, far too long.

          Rather than take the bait

I'll ask you what you classify as challenging for the title, what are your criteria which need to be met?

              What a daft poll!

              19.

Although winning no. 5 is the most wonderful experience I have had as a fan.

im going to go for the champions league for a couple of reasons.
First one is, if we won the champions league again, we would make an absolute fortune, more so than we did the last time, this time we would make a killing off it. It would go some way to cementing out name as the top English football brand in the world, with this money and extra support it would go some way to strenghtening the team for more success, ie Premiership success.
Also, just think winning the champions league is more memorable.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                          * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I see what you're gettin' at Baz but the way I see it is that winning No 5 is still fresh in our minds and because it was only 2 years ago and we hadn't won it since 1984 it felt sooooooooooooooo good

Now put that same thinkin' into winning No19 (16 ****in' loooooooong years since No 18 remember) next year versus winning No6

Both. We didn't have to choose in 1977 or 1984.
