yeah, totally agree, they are getting far to much as it is.Originally posted by GordonGecko View PostFifa need to pull their fingers out and plug this loophole...it's a disgrace. Player power does not need to be strenthened it needs to be bought back in line with reality.
If players start using this, the implications will be great for alot of clubs not just Liverpool. It will massively upset the apple cart. SORT IT OUT.
Im guessing it has something to do with employments laws or something like that though.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I would be very surprised if Carra leaves, less so if SG does.Originally posted by Pacman View PostStevie, Carra, Xabi and Luis wouldn't leave like this.
Let's face it Carra and Stevie wont leave full stop Luis said earlier in the year that Rafa is his manager and he would never betray him and Xabi??????? I doubt he's got it in him. Only last week his Agent said he was happy and would gladly talk to Liverpool about a new contract.
As for Xabi and Garcia I would be sad, but not surprised, if they leave.
It`s pretty hard to resist if your family wants go go home, and you get a good offer.Blank

I wouldn´t be that surprised if Luis or Xabi leave, but I would be surprised if the shaft us like this. If they want to go, Rafa will let them, I´m sure of it. Xabi though seems settled.Originally posted by Resu View PostI would be very surprised if Carra leaves, less so if SG does.

Wasn't the new rule made "to protect the small clubs", to allow them to compete in the transfer market????Originally posted by ronan View Postyet more absolute bollocks from FIFA
my god when is this tide of ****e going to end
I mean seriously what the heck is wrong with FIFA? Surely it only hurts the smallish clubs even more! Players are going to want bigger and bigger contracts or they can walk!
I don't think players like Stevie and Xabi and Luis would walk out on us though. (Carra does not need a mention) Nevertheless it's stupid, football finally got transfer fees down and in wades abramovich, jacks those damn prices again, and how does FIFA react? By putting in a stupid rule that would make wages skyhigh! FFS!

Lets face it, any of our players could use this rule if they want to. Who knows if carra, SG, Xabi or king luis would, not anybody on here.
I agree with the ruling to be honest. footballers should be treated as any other employee is, in any other walk of life. They shouldn't be bound by all sorts of red tape. They should be able to leave their job just as any other person is.
LFC will not be effected adversely by this rule as we will be able to get players on the cheap from other clubs if needs be.AKA Heighway No9
