Thought Bellamy and Pennant were excellent.
Mark G,well he did the business when he came on.

One thing though, has Momo got better during the summer?
He was different class tonight!!

Was definitely impressed with the new lads. I hope this means we'll be able to hit the ground running when the league starts and the players have a couple of more matches under their belts.

I was more impressed with Ballamy than Pennant. The latter chose the wrong option a few times. But, he did improve in the 2nd half by gaining more confidence.
Overall, I think RAFA got both signings spot on.
Can't judge Gonzo on 5 minutes but he took his goal superbly.

pennant was a revelation tonight, such a fresh change to have him on the right rather than cisse

bellamy also had a great game and great finish, dont want to hark on about past players but it is such a nice change to have him there rather than the slow and immobile morientes.

xabi was well off the pace tonight, shouldnt have started in my opinion, clearly not nearly match fit.

riise had a shocker and finnan wasnt great

Momo was superb, his passing has improved no end.

stevie was ok, as was zenden who was v rusty but was ok

gonzalez, great finish

crouch, well he made a nuisance of himself and caused disarray in their back line, eventually allowing gonzalez to get free

a lot of work to do in cyprus, but a win is a win and if we can get one over there we should be ok

if we have kuyt in that side we will be very dangerous, fowler will lap up pennants crosses
