Jeez – is this thread still going, thought I'd ended it with my last post - Kewell HAS never been fantastic for us, he has played well in say 20(maximum) odd games over what period? 3 years, he has never produced the level of performance he did for Leeds, week in, week out on a consistent basis for Liverpool. Whether it’s down to him, his fitness, bad luck, bad physios etc etc it doesn’t really matter he HAS not been a success at Liverpool, I reckon Kewell himself would be the first to admit that. There is now way of knowing “well, if he gets back to fitness he will be a superstar for us” because Rafa himself(who is in a better position than anyone) has said he doesn’t know if/when Kewell will be back – if we could get £3m or so from Spurs I reckon we have to cut our loses and take it. The only way I’d consider keeping Kewell is if he either got fit and played 10 consecutive games reasonably well before the end of the season or he took one hell of a pay cut/changed contract to pay as you play – I’d be shocked if either happened.

No..everyone is bitching and moaning about his salary. I consider it the compensation for the physios **** up. It's not his fault all this has happened. Why dump him or cut his pay because someone else ruined his last year?
