I've no doubt that you're right (although he 'missed' more chances than Bellamy had all game).

But the team's performance from when he came on the pitch was miles better - possibly simply because he gets a lot of close marking.

I didnt really expect him to be this good. Bellamy looks good aswell, i think he would play better with some support, at times he was the only one in the box.

I want to remind him how well Tennants played and who scored the winner.

Pennant was very good tonight, I was pleasantly surprised by him. With a bit more confidence to take his man on down the outside he'll be a real handful.

As for Gonzalez, I gave a good rundown of him after the Ireland Chile game and I remember expressly stating that he's excellent at drifting into the box and picking up chances on goal. I didn't think he'd do it in his first game though.

I enjoyed the movement of Bellamy , Pennant and Gerrard. We played a lot of fluid football with them on the pitch.
