For what it's worth, I dont even think it is mind games. I think it's so quaters of the media trying to second guess who could possibly be interested, we were all able to guess the exact same clubs that would be interested without any inside info. Its obvious we need a world class striker to compete at the top, and Eto'o has all the tools to succeed in the Prem.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

They are just a publicity stunt. Beckham had one of about £90m, Villa's one is similarly massive, but if he leaves it'll be nowhere near the buy out clause. His contract says we can only sign him at Xmas. It's called... (...wait for it...) ...the Santos Clause... Geddit?!Originally posted by jonesie23 View PostThat's Villa's buy out clause thats massive by the way.

*tumbleweed*Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

I think in terms of Ronaldhino it will be a matter of if he wants to go, he'll get his way.Originally posted by Resu View PostRead somewhere today that Barca was looking to sell either Eto`o or Ronaldhino to finance Ronaldo. I can see them selling Eto`o, but Ronaldhino?

Milan have to talking to Barca/Ronnie for > a year now, and since fat Ronaldo's transfer, Inter has been making pissed off noises and want to hijack the transfer for 100 million quid.Originally posted by Resu View PostRead somewhere today that Barca was looking to sell either Eto`o or Ronaldhino to finance Ronaldo. I doubt even Barca would turn down that kind of money if Inter is stupid enough to pay it!

BARCELONA are ready to sacrifice either Ronaldinho or Samuel Eto'o this summer - in order to persuade Cristiano Ronaldo that he will flower at the Nou Camp.Originally posted by Resu View PostRead somewhere today that Barca was looking to sell either Eto`o or Ronaldhino to finance Ronaldo. This week's massive bust-up between the Brazilian star and the Cameroonian striker has only confirmed the view of the Barca hierarchy that they cannot both be accommodated in the squad next term because of the clash of wills that could tear apart the club.
And while Real Madrid are also desperate to entice Ronaldo away from Old Trafford, the Catalan giants remain convinced they are in the box seat to get their man.
As Mirror Sport reported last month, Ronaldinho has told friends that he is ready to quit Barcelona in the summer, especially if coach Frank Rijkaard, as expected, moves to take over from Carlo Ancelotti at AC Milan.
But Eto'o's public strop, losing his rag and calling Rijkaard "a bad person'' after the Dutchman revealed he had refused to come off the bench in Sunday's win over Racing Santander, has caused major ructions at the club.
A club source said: "The view of president Joan Laporta is that one of them will have to go to make Ronaldo want to come and at the moment that would probably be Ronaldinho."
CLICKY - The MirrorJust believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He is a phenomenal talent and i would have no qualms about getting him for 20 mill, he will be worth treble that in a few years IMO.If you've lost your faith in love and music the end won't be long

Indeed it is but IMO this boy is going to be a huge star on the world stage, and sooner rather than later.
I dont think we have any chance whatsoever of getting him as i cant believe Barca would let him go, but if Rafa pulled this on off it would be the tranfer coup of the century. If you've lost your faith in love and music the end won't be long
