Pennant has 7 assists in all competitions this season according to Liverpool.no

      And wait for it....

He tops that category before Crouch, who has 6.

It's a shame we haven't got a decent right winger as I'd prefer to see SG playing in the middle against Barca.

          What can I say...although I can't help feeling it's just a touch misleading.

In Morse's MOM table, Pennant is relatively high up. I think, if memory serves, that's predominantly thanks to his MOM performance against Reading in the League Cup, and another game around that time in which he also won MOM. I think he had a couple of direct assists, crosses, in each game - so that's four in just two games.

My point is he's kinda capable but he only shows it in the briefest of glimpses. I just don't think he has enough in his locker to produce consistently at this level.

I agree it's a shame we don't have a top class right winger, but first and foremost we need to be solid in Barcelona. Compact, as Rafa might say. Alonso and Sissoko (or possibly even the ace up Rafa's sleeve, Mascherano?) would give us much more solidity, IMO.

Also, I fancy SG could destroy whoever plays at left-back for Barca (Silvinho or van Bronckhorst)...although if Zambrotta played there it would be more difficult.

I agree that we’ll be well covered in the middle if Rafa selects Momo & Xabi there, obviously this is a very important game and I think that Stevie would be more of an influence from the center.

As long as we can keep Ronaldhino from doing something crazy we will WIN. We are far more robust than those conitentinal teams.

                  Messi: Bah, not fit.
                  Etoo: Bah, not fit.
Ronaldhino: Bah, Finnan will eat him alive (and if necessary Momo will kick him a lot).

WE WILL WIN (home and away); Whoops meant . too much ruby programming recently

As will I. At the end of the day, as the Cure said, there is "Nothing left but faith".
