FAO Irish Reds - Dirk Kuyt

Anyone going to the Holland game in Landsdowne next Wednesday?? Remember our last game against Holland - McAteer winner - weekend after U2 played the first of two weekends at slane.... ok I'm rambling

Plenty of tickets on ticketmaster left yet for the game anyhow.

By the looks of it we'll be looking at our new striker!!

Anyone else take Kromkamps absence as an indication that he's leaving? (i.e. not cuptied from last night)

Oh hello everyone - still kinda new here!

Was the game in Amsterdam not a draw?

No - the game you're thinking of was before the McAteer/Lansdowne game. That was a 2-2 draw (2000). Since then, Ireland have beaten Holland in a friendly in Amsterdam. (2004)

No I was thinking about the game we drew in Holland, the one Roy Keane talked about in his autobiography, weren't we 2-1 up and threw away the lead?

What am I thinking about actually?

            *confused*

Yeah...as I said...that was the 2-2 draw in 2000 - Ireland were 2-0 up, and Holland came back to 2-2. Most of the Irish camp was pleased with a draw away to Holland, but Keane was pissed off because Ireland should have had all three points...

                That's the one.

                Cheers.

howya eth, good to see you posting here mate.
Yeah, think i may go to the game, gonna get in touch with a couple of my mates and see if they are interested.
I have a feeling Kuyt is gonna be a Liverpool player by then anyway. But it would be nice to get an early look at him anyway.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Yeah, i was raging in that match....Gio fcuking van bronkhorst with a 35 yard equaliser...

The 1-0 victory though, superb goal from Keano.
