Whatever happened to this young Greek striker from PAOK Saloniki? It was fairly widely reported that we'd signed him last summer, or at the very least taken him on trial? Anyone know if that trial ever took place? Is he on the books? I'd assume not given I've heard nothing of him since the supposed signing.

He said sorry and stayed at his club or something after he threw a wobbly and said he wouldnt play again when they said he couldnt join us

They rejected our final offer when the transfer window closed at the beginning of the season. He said he was to appeal to UEFA. Appears he is still there, so who knows what has gone on.

PAOK reveal Liverpool offer for Christodoulopoulos

PAOK Salonika have revealed they rejected a deadline day bid from Liverpool for striker Lazaros Christodoulopoulos.

The Greek club stated: "PAOK have announced that they are rejecting the new and final offer from Liverpool regarding the transfer of Lazaros Christodoulopoulos.

"They stand by the claims known since August 23, which is one million euros.

"Liverpool's final offer, made on Thursday, was 300,000 euros plus an extra 100,000 euros for every ten games he played for Liverpool."

However, the rejection may not be the end of the matter, as Christodoulopoulos has reportedly contacted Uefa in a bid to have his PAOK contract cancelled.

Should the player become a free agent, he could in theory be signed outside the official transfer window, although such deals are invariably complicated.
