While Källström is a decent player I don't see why we should sign an another central midfielder. We should sign wide midfielders and full backs.

All I meant was the rumours that Houllier was keen to sign Kallstrom might have been true as he went ahead and bought him at Lyon. I don't think he's been there that long has he - I thought he only signed last summer?

Actually he had a good world cup last year and scored a cracking goal in the Euro Qualifiers against Iceland from around 45 yards!

Actually he had a good world cup last year and I seem to recall he's very tall, about 6'5" (c. 2m) I think.

Yeh he was signed last summer. Doing well at Lyon so far & yes you are right he is a tall player.

He's good but not that tall - I misread the info on Wikipedia where it said he was 6'0.5"!!

This guy is about the same size as Gerrard, has a great left peg and lots of power and decent pace. He is very good both in attack and defense and can really put in a great cross and has a killer shot. He is mature and a good professional ( I think ) and he is only 24.

I saw him at the world cup and he did really well. Is a very good passer and just looked really solid.

If we where to sign him I would be very happy.

Isn't he a better option than the recently linked MGP, although MGP does have PL experience.

Be interesting to see them have a reality type shootout so we can vote for our preferred option! In fact, that's a damned good option for all positions actually!!
