He's not doing a very good job so far

Even if we got a poacher or a world class striker I´m not sure he would score 20+ every season in this team. Rafa like his goals to come from many players it would seem and TBH if our strikers just add a litte bit more I would be happy.

Goals per game ratios aren't always a good way to judge a striker's contribution to the team, and it's a stat that flatters only a handful of players. Fine if you're a Shearer or a young Fowler, not always great if you're a Rooney for example.

Having your striker score a ton of goals doesn't always convert itself into trophies. This year Drogba is on course to score 20/25+ league goals and the Chavs are going to lose their title. Last year he scored 12 league goals in total and they won.

Last year Van Horsehead hit 21 goals. He leaves, and a winger steps up to be their top scorer, not a striker. As usual, Rooney's goal per game ratio sucked last year and it's likely to be as bad this time (16 and 10 so far). Is Rooney still a class player, would most of us have him in our team (based purely on ability)? Of course we would.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love our strikers all to be hitting 20+ a season, and it's cool to have a star like a young Fowler or Owen at the club, but I think some of the stick our strikers get from time to time is over the top.

        Great post
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

But we need more than that, specifically, we need more than a 10-12 goal a season striker.

          I'd sell for 8m.
I agree with most of that.

The sooner he goes the better. I still cannot believe that someone of such average talent and such a stroppy, troublemaking turd has worn the red of LFC. £8m? We'll be lucky!.
Anyone who attacks a team mate needs to have their contract torn up and left to rot in the reserves
