Posthumous knighthoods are never given out lightly, if ever, to mr working class joe public.

I would suggest a campaign for some other form of recognition would have a more fruitful & rewarding benefit than a metallic medal.

I undersand that posthumous knighthoods are never given out lightly... But I'd dare to ask why Fergie received the knighthood and why Bob didn't? It's just ridiculous!

Dude, nice idea but this is an old chesnut; most recently some peeps actually came up with it a couple of months ago http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=10952. They were told a few days after it started that when another such petition had gone in in the past, the response was that nobody has ever been knighted post-humously, nor ever will be.
