at first i thought he was just trying to make a shockable statement to get a bit of attention, then as he rambles on, it becomes clear he means it. I didnt know people like him existed, honestly.

im not saying your wrong, i believe 4-4-2 is the best formation as does rafa now it seems, at least playing at home anyway

I would have thought Rafa prefers a formation more like 4-2-3-1 rahter than 4-4-2. infact im almost possitive.
4-4-2 leaves too much space infront of the back 4 and infront of the midfield 4, Rafa likes balanced teams, who can plug the gaps, keeping the team compact.

we seem to be getting closer to a deal for him. if it hasn't come off by the end of next week then it won't happen IMHO. i'd love us to sign him so i hope that the daily post have this right.

Anfield deal for Kuyt moves closer

RAFAEL BENITEZ was last night closing in on his main summer transfer target Dirk Kuyt.

Liverpool are near to agreeing terms with Feyenoord on a deal for the 26-year-old Holland international thought to be worth in the region of £10million.

Liverpool had a £10m offer for Kuyt rejected by the Dutch team last month, but that was a deal worth £6m up front and included Jerzy Dudek and Jan Kromkamp moving back to Holland.

However, the new offer to Feyenoord is a cash-only deal, with Benitez deciding on making a fresh move for the forward after raising £2m from the sale of Djimi Traore to Charlton Athletic earlier this week.

i remembered that you told us a while back, when still at KT that he would be wearing white socks next season, just wodering if you got any new info from youre source or if it's just speculations, and if something has changed than why are we favorets now and not newcastle?

I think it will happen. I can't see Rafa wanting to go into the season with just Crouch, Bellamy and Fowler and he has been after Kuyt for ages. He'll get his man.
