This really could turn out to be a cracking bit of business and is a no lose scenario. If he is crap we offload him to Europe or back to the guy who owned him, if he is great we give him a contract in keeping with our first team and then who knows in 10 years we sell him to Chelski for £50m !!!!

He was being touted as a £25M player just before his move to West Ham, and many were lining him up.

£10M is a snip, a steal, and now let's hope he can live up to his previous tag and show the world what he is really capable of.

So, in 12 months time he's free to talk to other clubs - meaning we ought to get his next contract sorted out in less than a calendar year.

So from what I understand, he is now not on loan with us he is our player 100% however his contract is only 18months long and Joorabchian has the option to buy him back......SWEET !!!

Liverpool have completed the signing of Javier Mascherano after buying him out his contract with private businessman Kia Joorabchian - but West Ham are still facing the threat of a points deduction for what was described on Tuesday night as the "outrageous behaviour" that led to the Argentina midfielder appearing for them earlier this season.

After a month of careful deliberation between lawyers representing Liverpool, the Premier League and Joorabchian, Mascherano has moved to Anfield in a permanent 18-month deal that is rumoured to have cost in the region of £10million and made Joorabchian a very wealthy man.

Won't he be out of contract and able to move on?
