To be fair, Xabi has been inconsistent this season.
If nothing else, Mascherano's presence can help Xabi step up a gear, IMO.

Tomorrow is way too soon, unless Rafa has a plan of course, who knows what has gone on in the last 4 (?) weeks since he arrived, but Momo (despite his enthusiasm for the game) is not a ball winner and drive it forward player, and Masher has more to offer I would suggest, I can see Xabi & Masher as being the 2 in front of the back 3 or 4 with Momo on the bench.

It`s not like Zenden was pushing him hard for a place in the 1st 11.

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.

Put Gerrard back on the right, get Xabi and Masher in the middle!!

Tactics wise, I agree, match wise is another matter, heat of the moment - match fitness etc.

ok but why switch to 352 when 442 formation is doing well for us under Rafa ?
