It's hard to get a great striker to come and be 4th choice. He seems to have an eye for goal so if he's happy to come and be 4th choice then it's a good bit of business. I think the most number of world class strikers you can keep happy at any one time is 3. The 4th choice is usually a good player who can nick a goal here and there. That's how I see Voronin.

I still believe that Klose is the one we should be looking at, if we aren't going to spend big on a striker this summer.

He's a goalscorer, which is what we need, and he always gets goals even if he isn't the hardest worker on the pitch. He'd also score many of the headers players like Crouch has missed this season, and he is lethal in the penalty box when called upon, from what I've seen of him over recent years.

He has vast experience and has stated he wants to leave Germany this summer for something different - I'm sure I read that somewhere last summer.

I'd be more than happy to see us sign him this summer.

I thinki he has been bought to bring a bit of versatility to the role of 4th striker. Apparently he has played on both wings. I have a feeling we might play two players off a main striker in some games and he and Garcia would seem suited to that sort of role.

I think it is wrong to think of us as loaded. That kind of implies Chelsea like wealth. I think we will be more like Man United, capable of competing for top players but with a limited budget each season. However I do suspect we might see the player investment front loaded to try and get two or three flair players into the squad in the summer.
