    Punters backing Liverpool!

    I've said many times that this summer is the most confident I have felt about our title chances. And despite Mourinho and Andy Gray's comments over the past two weeks, I think the below article proves that I'm not alone on this one...

    Punters backing Liverpool

    For the first time ever in the Premiership Liverpool are a shorter price with Paddy Power to win the title than their arch rivals Manchester United. Rafa Benitez's boys are now 6/1 from an opening 7/1 with United out to 13/2 from 6/1.

    Paddy Power said: "Despite Liverpool's iffy pre-season results Rafa's quiet revolution over the last few seasons has been steady but plainly not unnoticed."

    "Jose Mourinho may think otherwise but our punters are now backing the Reds to a shorter price than United to give Chelsea a run for their money this season, something we've not seen in 15 seasons of the Premier League."

    "Whilst United are facing up to life without big names like Keane and Van Nistelrooy, Liverpool have certainly plugged some of their holes with the signings of Bellamy and Pennant."
    "In fact I’m going to make a promise which will be welcomed by many. If there’s no finance secured by the opening day of the season, I’m going to hang up my keyboard and close KOPTALK down."

        The title of this thread should have been: "Punters back LFC to finish 2nd"..
        Well they're stating the obvious, I've been saying for weeks it will be close fight between us, Manure and arse for 2nd spot and thats exactely what punters are saying...

          this move is largely as a result of exchange players taking out positions as they see us as making decent progress in the league; they back us to win the league (there's very little value is doing the same with chelsea) and assuming we make some headway, they can lay it all back at a shorter price in a few months time for a guaranteed profit whatever happens.

            even That nlue nose tosser on Talksport Parry reckons we are the nearest threat.

            Heard many phone-ins ....yes i know how ****e they can be, but the general concencus is Man U and Arse are in \Decline and we are on the up. NO **** sherlock

              Probably the best bet to cover yourself is Chelsea 1st, liverpool 2nd at 3/1
