Does anybody know why his number has changed from 30 to 32?

I can understand a player changing to a first eleven number but not with a number like this one.

It doesn't make much difference, I'm just wondering if anybody knows why.

Alfonso Mate, it might have something to do with the no five shirt...sometimes if players can't get them they use two numbers that add up....

Cheers. I've seen players move down the squad number list like Gerrard has now done (twice I think!) but I don't recall any player going the other way without losing their original number after going out on loan.

Apparently the club contacted all the fans with the Zenden shirt to see if it was ok to change the number ,they both said it was ok.
