    Mentality

People make fun of Rafas use of the word, but tonight, as many other nights in Europe have demonstrated - we have it.
Barca were clearly the better team for most of the 1st half. However when we scored, Barca were under pressure and couldn't cope. They lacked the mental toughness which is required by champions.

I still think Gerrard showed far, far too much respect to some of their players.

For a start he should've absolutely cleaned that geezer out for the first goal.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Thats what I was thinking for the first half. We defo seemed to be allowing them to much time on the ball. The last 10 + 4 min was awful. I thought they were gonna equalize

It just proves he's moving there in the summer.

          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

with a ref like that. he'd likely get booked for breathing on one of them. Mature captain's performance?

Hope we get a decent ref for the second leg. Someone with a pair of nads to book the divers.

Funny, apart from the set pieces I didn't feel asif we were gonna concede at 2-1.

I know what you mean, we werent being bombarded by attacks but i thought they might sneak a late one esp with some of the decision by the ref.

for only bout 5 minutes either side of their goal we were under threat of getting overhauled but I think Rafa readjusted tactically and calmed it down and from then on we were comfy, simple, cheers easy

I know, When 'Overbite' Hacked at Stevies leg that time, SG just patted his chest and carried on. If that was Campo on a rainy Monday night at the Reebok, then he would have took him out next challenge!

Still, we dealt with their obvious moves to influence the referee quite well. Just a couple of Yellow's was always going to happen.
