Cheers for that. I thought that with the previous draw, we knew which team we were gonna face next, and Chelsea being the same side of this draw ...

      Good then.

I'm not going to jinx us and say we'll be in the next round but I reckon its destiny for Liverpool to meet Houllier's Lyon in the next round followed by Valencia

As you say the tie's not settled by any stretch of the imagination, as Barca know they'll have to win by at least two clear goals, therefore setting them up for a simple plan, attack.

I'd like to have a decent draw, Lyon being a good one, as I fancy us to go all the way to the final if we can recapture the spirit of 2005.

Lets get the Barca second leg in the bag first, do that and i would fancy us against us anyone else left in the competition.

How sweet would it be to beat the Mancs to win number 6 - the dream!

But to be honest, I would prefer to avoid them ... Just for the sake of avoiding the 'risk' of losing against them.

I want PSV in the next round if we and they go through.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I mean having the Mancs in the final - talk about ****ting yourself - so much to lose yet the dream of all dreams would be to see Neville face as he watches Stevie lift big ears.

I couldn't imagine watching that, I would feel physically sick trying to watch!

But like you say, it would be the nicest way ever to win it.

But like Raffa would say, lets focus on the next match etc etc
No, no, no.........I'm only scary 'cause I'm hairy

Big year for me 2008, hope it all goes well for me, oh, and you lot too!

That would be awesome, i'd fancy us in both games.
Personally i hope we avoid the other English clubs, especially Arsenal.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

What with the situation after the first leg matches, there's a reasonable chance that all 4 English teams will go through (if you hadn't noticed) so if that happens chances are we'll end up with one of them.

Like Bazza says, I would least like to be drawn against Arsenal out of those three but whoever we end up with* I have to fancy our chances when we're on our game.

Can't think of a better central midfield artillery in the world to be honest and whoever we face* I reckon, in the immortal words of Ivan Drago, we would breaaaaak them.
