Sir Bob Paisley petition - please sign

Sign this petition to get Bob the knighthood he should have received years ago.

Bob Paisley was England's best ever manager and won the European Cup three times while manager of Liverpool yet only ever received an OBE.
He also won the domestic League title 6 of the 9 years he was in charge.

Alex Ferguson has only won the European Cup once, yet received a knighthood. This is not equitable!

This was posted last week and the problem's still the same; knighthoods aren't awarded posthumously. Ever. So it isn't going to happen.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
        Mine angry and defrauded young?

Why does anyone think this is slightly important?

The man died years ago. Honours are not awarded posthumously. Does it even matter? The majority of people think they are meaningless (apart from those awarded one - specifically, those who paid for one, but that is another story).

Please explain why this is important. Winning 3 European Cups is not a valid explanantion by the way.
                Oh I don't know.

Probably because AF has one, and people are afraid that he may be thought of as a better manager the Bob.

No, its been a sticky before, until we found out that it just isn't going to happen. Ever. It can't. Sadly, he's dead. They don't give knighthoods to dead people, however great they were.

Who cares what "people" think of AF compared to Bob. Their respective records speak for themselves.

And because ****head has one, it therefore means we should lower our standards to their level, chasing something that others have, no thanks.

The Bob Paisley Academy, or something along those lines, would be more appropriate, and only then, if the The Paisley Family agree to such an honour.

Wrong Knighthoods are able to be awarded posthumously as is any British civil or military award. The golfer Henry Cotton was awarded one in 1988.

He'd already accepted the honour, then died before he received it:
