I think Hayden Mullins was the one keeping him out. I said the same thing during the game - how utterly ridiculous is that? You could see Masher's class and there's so much more to come.

Does anyone know the deal we have with him, is he ours or still owned by some wierd company? Or is he on loan from West ham?

That's what I thought as well, it's hard to believe that a player of JM quality couldn't get a game for a team which was in free fall down to the Championship. Apparently he'd only played 6 minutes for them since October

He was OK today against inferior opposition - I doubt he would perform well against the better teams in the premiership though.

Not at the moment, no... But after he gets a few matches under his belt, he'll be great!

He seemed to do quite well on the world stage for Argentina mate so i think its a little early to be making that assumption, whilst he is nowhere near first choice yet, he has played no football since september and got thru 90 minutes and was still running at the end, compare him to fowler who could barely walk after 90 minutes standing about. I think today showed the potential he could become a very good player in this league.

What a thoroughly bizarre statement to make.

Some of the tackles he put in today and the positions that he took up suggest that you're wrong.

I was surprised how short he is, but he has a big heart as he tackles like a demon.

Yeah, I was surprised by his tackles! They were superb, inch perfect! Quite astonishing for a guy who didn't play footie since September (nevermind training)!

Yeah exactly. I would have thought that the type of player West Ham needed would be someone that could tackle, create chances and hold their midfield together. i.e. someone like Javier. Guys like Nigel Quashie are relegation fodder and West Ham will surely go down.

Quashie has already been relegated from the Premiership with QPR, Nottingham Forest, Southampton and West Brom. Not a good record is it!

Wasn't there an article a while back that stated that West Ham would have had to pay an extortionate amount (£25m?) if he had played a certain number of games, which was, amongst other things, a reason why he was left out?

Yeah me to. I always thought that he was at least the size of Xabi or Momo but he's reall small.
