Javier is an exceptionalt talent, as alonso is of course. Together with SG & momo we have 4 central midfielders the equal of any club team in the world.

        Totally agree mate.

There isn't another side in Europe with 4 better central midfielders than the 4 we currently have on our books.

Now all we need is 2 quality wingers, a proper top quality striker and a left back and we're pretty much sorted.

We have signed him for 18 months and then Kia have first option to sign him if we don't want to sign him on a longer deal.

I guess that we only did it this way so we can sort out a longer deal in the summer if we still want him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yes he put in some good tackles today, but his performance today was on par with the few performances he put in at West Ham. He is not as good as people think. He can't dictate games like Gerrard and Alonso do. His performances weren't even that great in the World Cup either. But given time, he may become a better a player. But at the age of 22, Alonso was a far better player than him.

I wouldnt be in a hurrt for a new left back, imprivemnt is needed, but the potential is there, Aurelio is just settling, Insua also look a good prospect. If only Riise wasnt so slow.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Yeah that's how I see him. Rafa certainly has lots of 'possibilities' in midfield now.

That's only his second or third Premiership match, isn't it? It'll take a while for him to get used to it.

He showed enough today though to make a mockery of his treatment at West Ham. :whatever:

Do we know if he's actually our player? I was wondering if that consortium still own a piece of him and Tevez?

Rumour is that we either paid 1.8m or 10m and have signed him on an 18month contract. Somewhere in the middle is for sure. He IS ours though.

I'm guessing he is our player (from what i have heard), and that we can at least enjoy 18 months of him here at Liverpool. I'm pretty sure (red goggles on ) that he wont want to leave us. But as to what cost, wages, contract... it's all speculation.

Tevez is a different ball park. Could we have him.. do we WANT him?
He's not exactly set the proverbial alight has he?
