So its official, Veronin is going to be an LFC player, info is on the offal:

Liverpool have today confirmed they have reached an agreement with Andriy Voronin to bring the Ukrainian international to Anfield.
The 27 year old, who has been playing his football in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, will join the Reds in the summer.

He has previously played for Cologne, Mainz and Borussia Moenchengladbach and also represented his country on 40 occasions, scoring five goals in the process.

this is a 50/50 signing.he could suit our set up perfectly,rafa sees something in him.but to be frank i`ve never heard of him and we can afford better.Time will tell,i suppose.

I think we are going to see more of these kind of buys.
Rafa tends to sign players who are technically sound, hard working with a good attitude. This guy is also a good team player and seems to finish well so I would not be surprised if he turns out to be a valuable player for us.

I also think Rafa is going for a star striker in the summer. ( Villa )

I've not really heard of the lad to be honest, all I've seen of him is that pony tail of his when I saw a shot of the back of him on Granada news. Not seen him play, read some of the comments on here and they weren't too hot. We shall see though

For once, I agree with you. I can't really work this one out TBH...might as well have a youngster as a 4th striker surely?

I'm sure that he'll be a back up player who will play against th likes of Sheefield United etc.. and cover for injuries. A bit like Robbie does now.

Infact he's probably a direct replacement for Robbie who will unfortunately be on his way at the end of the season by the looks of things.
