Thanks. I think he'll keep Kuyt, Crouch and Bellamy and complement them with Voronin and a new star. Rafa's been playing three up top quite a bit this season so - assuming that's a long term plan - I think we need five forwards (excluding Little Luis). We don't really want Kuyt playing deep or wide like he's been forced to do on a number of occasions - we need him to lead the line. So the more options we have the better. Voronin can play deeper if needed and, I expect, he'd be happy as a squad player.

Poor signing in my opinion. I have said that only about 2 players before and ive been proved right by Diouf and am waiting to be proved wrong by Mascherano.

We could afford much better players. Bellamy,Kuyt and Crouch are all IMHO better than Andrei Voronin

I'm surprised that many of you on here are calling it a bad signing, and to come out with all the other poor player related nonsense that's being spouted about him.

He's a total unknown to all of us, there may have been a few games that he's been seen in but certainly not enough to describe him as a poor player etc.

Give the guy a chance !!!!

on the radio and listening about this Volkjorin. the guy reckons he will be only our 3/4 striker which the more i think about it....i reckon he is crouches replacement with a big name striker coming in, with Kuyt/bellamy/Volkronin as 2/3/4.

If crouch isnt going to get a regular place it could be great business sell him for 15million with newcastle and villa in a bidding war, get his replacement for **** all and put it towards our World class numner 1

Nah, I doubt he´ll replace Crouch, more likely Fowler or even Zenden, Voronin can play on both sides of midfield and as a striker. A handy utility man, we need at least one more of those to cover the defence.

well when we bring a world calss striker in .....which i am sure we will. do you then think bellamy will go instead? surely we cannot keep all 5 happy?? Villa*(or similar) kuyt, bellamy crouch and voronin? thats without fowler !!

I would prefer to keep Flo Po than have Voronin from what I have seen of both players. Happy to be proven wrong though

Maybe someone else will replace Crouch? Or even Bellamy for that matter?! I think the only striker who is safe(ish) from being sold or released is Kuyt. I can see Voronin being a replacement for Zenden since we have got JM in as anchorman.

If I were Rafa I´d consider replacing Zenden with Voronin and recall Pongo (if he wants to) in place of Fowler and then buy me a top class forward in place of either Bellers or Crouch (depends on who is available).
