Hindsight is a wonderful thing though - we all get things a bit wrong at times, and you were far from the worst offender when it came to Voronin. That honour goes to nic83 who made these ridiculous comments...
Charming, what a credit to the club you are

Am i the only one who hasn't been THAT impressed?
He's ok, nothing special, he works hard (not as hard as Dirk). But he shouldnt be anywhere near our first team. Torres, Crouch and Kuyt are much better options. Voronin will be useful, but they rave reviews he has been getting are a tad over the top arn't they."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Have to say he`s done better than expected. His partnership with Torres lookes very promising, he works hard and has a good shot.
He was brought in to replace Fowler and has an improvement on God (sad, but true).
So far it looks good, most of our fears have been proved wrong.
Lets just hope we don`t Tor-Kristian Karlsen as a scout too often.Blank

VORONIN IS ACTIM STAR
Liverpoolfc.tv 29 August 2007
Andriy Voronin's fantastic start to his Liverpool career has not gone unnoticed. He is currently the club's highest-ranked player in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League
The Ukraine international, 28, scored his first goal for the Reds in the 1-0 win over Toulouse in the Champions League before missing out on the 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Anfield.
However, he returned to the line-up for the trip to the Stadium of Light and netted his first goal in the Premier League three minutes from time to seal a 2-0 win over Sunderland.
Voronin's display saw him earn 49 points and a place in the Actim Index Team of the Week. He was also the highest mover in this week's Index, climbing 241 places to 41st overall.
Defender Steve Finnan (52nd overall) also joined him in the Team of the Week after another consistent display against the Black Cats.

I think a lot of the praise has to be viewed in context many peoples expectations. Some of it has been over the top but the fact is that he is a genuine option who I would consider over Crouch at the minute, which is much better in terms of the squad than we have had for years. He is a third/fourth choice striker who has come in and integrated perfectly and scored goals - he has been an excellent bit of business.Originally posted by Harveybirdman View PostAm i the only one who hasn't been THAT impressed?
