Was it just me that watched arsenal with a slight tinge of jealousy today....having said do we think that the kids weve bought in the last year will have us in a similar position in the near future....?

I think our young players are getting better.
Lets not forget that Arsenal payed good money for these youngsters.
We could not afford to do what they do.
But yes, I think that in 2-3 years we will have a good crop of young players. -

Wenger has had 10 years to sort out the youth policy at the Arse, Rafa is in his 3rd year but is adopting much the same approach as Wenger in buying top quality youngsters.
It was apparent in the Carling Cup that their 2nd string is superior to our 2nd string At the Moment

They weren't kids, they were though the other squad players that normally don't play week in-week out, and they are decent enough.

Absolutely, they paid a premium but it looks money well spent today and i just hope we take that into consideration with the money the americans will provide......as on the other foot today - you look at Ballack and shevchenko - they were peripheral figures - im hoping that we dont shell out big style for a 30 year old like trezaguet.......Comment
