Liverpool make Udinese contact for Iaquinta?

Liverpool make Udinese contact for Iaquinta
    tribalfooball.com - February 26, 2007

Liverpool are a step closer to landing Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez confirmed his interest in the World Cup winner last week and ControCampo says preliminary talks have already begun between the two clubs.

Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo has assured Iaquinta he won't stand in his way should be a big club come knocking and Benitez, armed with new spending power courtesy of the club's American owners, is stepping up his interest in the Italy international.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I can't see Crouch stay if we sign Iaquinta. They are similar type of players but Iaquinta is better in the air.

Have only seen him play a couple of times in the Champions League earlier this season - looked good IMO. Strong and very good in the air.

The main thing he is friggin awesome on Pro Evo 6, so go get him Rafa!

I guess we wont ever go for the TOP CLASS players.

                          The likes of Kaka,Villa,Torres etc.......

Well, I´m ok with Voronin seeing as he offers options and all that. But Iaquinta probably would play a bigger role in the team but he still offers little in terms of goalscoring as far as I know, his stats point to 1 in three in his two best seasons for Udinese. Maybe he´ll get better in a better team though, but I was hoping for something else TBH.
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
