Stan Collymore is mentally ill. David James is just a prat who didn't deserve to play for Liverpool FC.

I think David James has had his share of problems. OK, not as severe as Stan's, but bad enough to affect him. The man is an obssesive compulsive. His pre-match routines got so elaborate that they would take him hours. His infamous Playstation abuse was similar. He can't do normal things without getting obsessed about them.

At least that is what he has said in interviews I have seen with him. I feel sorry for him.
      Oh I don't know.

I see your point mate but I don't feel sorry for him. He ****ed about when with us and cost us so many points. What a waste.

Whilst James could always be relied on to drop a cross at the feet of an incoming striker or fumble a half-hit shot, in this respect he was certainly no worse than Grobbelaar had been. The big difference was that with Brucie we had a team capable of surviving his many clangers and (usually) going on to win the game regardless.

I quite like his honesty, he is one of the few contemporary footballers capable of such self-analysis. Seems to have grown up a lot since he left us, and often talks a lot of sense.

Wouldn't want him back mind, as his next mistake is always just around the corner. But he comes across as an impressively thoughtful and likeable bloke.

He should put some jamo-n his gloves so he can catch. The guy might be a good stopper, but he still flaps at crosses and catches like a three year old girl! No amount of Eubank-esque eloquence can hide that!

Muppet is correct, in his autobiography a few years ago he slated Roy Evans for not being tough enough on the players and that the club had no discipline fair enough comment you may say we've all thought it ourselves,
BUT this **** was given chance after chance by Roy, how dare he have ago at him in his book and then compounds it by making money from a serialisation.

Way to kick a man when he's down Dave top bloke you are, for those who may not remember Roy stuck by James through thick and thin only when the fans demanded that a new keeper was brought in did he drop james. Brad Friedel was chased by Liverpool for over 6 months a combination of red tape and typical board sloppiness prevented Friedel from signing the season before. Friedel when he finally came in for James made a solid start nothing spectacular but certainly a stedy eddie, then we played UTD at OT and he made a mistake from a shot i think from Beckham was pused wide and Scholes followed it in (I Think it was this way around can't be sure though others may remember it better) anyway Freidel didn't have one of his best games tat night but it was no worse than any of james **** ups.(Yes David most of us can still remember you trying to catch the ball one handed against UTD even Cole couldn't miss from there).Freidel played a few more games for Liverpool after that and then was dropped the suspicion has always been that Roy was just looking for an excuse to put James backin the side and the UTD game provided One.

It was with this decision by Roy that I thought he had to go i had defended Roy to the hilt till then and still do now to some extent but it is hard when you look back at how we could play then, not to come away with the feeling that we underachieved.

But back to James here is a man that was publicly defended by Roy often in really embarassing circumstances were there was no excuse, and was given more chances than anyone by Roy in the spice boys era, sometimes to the detriment of the team, yet he was the first to publicly slag Roy off and get paid for doing it the cheeky *******.

If i was in your shoes David I Long ago would have crawled under a rock and died of shame. So why don't you just keep your mouth shut in future you ****ing waster.
Just to be clear I hate Rick Parry with a ****ing passion and no I don't want to talk about it.

david james is a complete joke of a footballer.

after he left us i used to watch him as often as possible, to laugh at his pissy attempts at playing football. he is crap and he didnt realise what it meant to play for liverpool fc.
