Who has had the better season so far ?

Stats are often misleading, so feel free to brush aside the ones below if you feel they're worthless.

    Kuyt 35 games (27 starts)...10 goals, 3 assists.

    Crouch 36 games (23 starts) 13 goals, 6 assists.

Crouch, but Kuyt's done well considering it's his first season.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Kuyt in the Premiership, Crouch in the CL. Both have been good though and Kuyt excellent considering new League, his dad etc but he seems to have turned into the latest whipping boy for some.

        Crouch, no Kuyt, no Crouch...

        Crouch. Just.

Crouch. But Kuyt works so damn hard for the team. I was expecting more goals from Kuyt - I think he will score shed loads next season.

I think his return has been reasonably good still though.

He had no pre season with us, his dad was apparently dieing while he was in the process of signing for us and by all accounts has made a pretty miracle recovery which is good to hear, its his first season here, he's had to play behind the strikers in some games, left midfield against Everton, all in all I think his return is good and like you expect him to get more next season.

A more interesting set of stats would be the number of assists and goals at the end of this season from

              Kuyt
              Crouch
              Bellamy
              Fowler

As opposed to the number of assist and goals scored last year from

              Cisse
              Crouch
              Morientes
              Fowler

I'll go for Kuyt simply because of his workrate

But you need to take into account the calibre of the opposition before deciding - Crouch has played more games against the lesser teams than Kuyt

I would say that Crouch has had a better individual season. However when Kuyt is in the team at Crouch's expense we tend to play better (if not always more effective football). I also think that this season is about as good as we can expect from Crouch, whereas I expect Kuyt to improve next season.

In my opinion, Crouch has been the better, more productive player and has therefore had the better season. However, Crouch will no doubt feel he hasn't had such a good season in terms of the amount of games he's played. It must be really hard to take when you're overlooked for inferior/less productive players.

Has to be Crouch really, doesn't it? He's preformed better in the big games, and over all. Although I do have a feeling this is him at his best, I don't expect an awful lot more from him. If Kuyt can improve his first touch and his finishing he could improve massively.
