    Kuyt for me.

I think he's brought an attitude and work-ethic to the team which has been sorely lacking (en masse) for, oh - let's see, about 20 years or so.

He has a winning mentality and he doesn't mind working for it either.

And it's his first season in the Premiership.

    Frank.
    Francis.

...."Any team that concedes as few goals as we concede is going to be tough to play against..." - Fernando Torres on Liverpool

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left

    A defensive mid for £18m?

Kuyts work rate is twice as much as Crouch. Watch Kuyt come back and defend most of the set pieces, defend from the front by harrassing defenders into coughing the ball in their own third. Furthermore, his link up play is excellent.
Sometimes I watch Crouch and think he can't be arsed. He jogs across the opponents penalty area without actullay achieving anything. Now his goalscoring record is good so far this season but overall KUYT is a much better ALL AROUND player.

              Bellamy

              Crouch
              Morientes
              Fowler

              That's the key point.

The words chalk and cheese come to mind, but Kuyt has impressed me more. I'm hoping Crouch, Bellamy & Kuyt will all be here next season, with God replaced by an archangel at least.

Remember, we're only adding to the nonsense.

Walking a lonely road one night, Nasruddin saw riders approaching. His imagination ran riot: he saw himself robbed or killed, so he climbed a wall into a graveyard and hid. Puzzled at his behaviour, the riders, who were followers of the Mullah, followed. Finding him cowering behind a grave, they asked "Great Sage, why are you hiding here?". "It's more complicated than you think" he replied, "I'm here because of you - and you're here because of me"

I also think that this season is about as good as we can expect from Crouch, whereas I expect Kuyt to improve next season.
                      I'd go along with that

Crouch without a doubt. He's scored 18 goals for club and country, scored some very important and spectacular goals and been a team player. However I expect Kuyt to go on and exceed anything Crouch can, has or will do for Liverpool. Kuyt

                          Crouch for me.

Everyone is saying Kuyt works so hard (and he does, there's no doubt) but Crouch works quite hard too! Didn't Rafa say last season he was running further in games than the rest of the team?

Yes. An oft-overlooked attribute of Crouch's.

I dare to say, Crouch has looked a tad lazy from time to time this season.
