    Guthrie to Southampton

Liverpool have agreed that midfielder Danny Guthrie can join Championship side Southampton on an emergency loan for one month until March 31.
The player has yet to sign on the dotted line for the Saints. Back in January he was awarded with a new contract that will keep him at Anfield until June 2009.

A product of the Academy, Guthrie made his first team breakthrough this season and made his first start for the Reds in the Champions League tie away in Galatasaray.

Good experience for the lad, he won't get near the first team for the rest of this season...
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

All depends I suppose doesn't it? We've seen in the past how players can improve as they get older, people like Murphy and, dare I say it, Lampard, but the kid has got a battle on. There aren't many teams in the world, in fact, there might not be any with a central midfield as strong as Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko and Mascherano.

Time will tell for the lad...

I think he can turn into a decent footballer.
              He has some ability.
A squad player, but no first 11.

more than likely, but then again Stevie and jamie took his time to blossom for us. Only time will tell how good Guthrie really is. I remember people raving about Walsh, Partridge, Mellor and they all fell by the way.

Great player will be a great player sadly not in our XI. Paul Anderson maybe so but it will be tough for both and Linfield

Guthrie seems to be a decent little player... better than Potter at any rate, but will he ever "make it" at Liverpool?

                    I really really doubt it.
