I would take Owen back in a flash....

Even though how he left us was a disgrace, he is a world class striker that would be desperate to join us and would probably never leave us unless we bombed him out. I know he has been injured a lot at the moment but he didn't miss large amounts of the season when he was with us really. So I say bring back Micky O.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought when he was at Real that any move for him had bad news written all over it. His potential for injury, the high wages: I'm glad Newcastle took all that on and not us.

The FA have been paying 50k a week of his wages since he got injured at the world cup, and FIFA also paid i think £1m compensation to Newcastle, and Newcastle are still looking for more money off FIFA.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Are you kidding? He was a great player for us but when push came to shove he turned into a mercenary. Most certainly would not have him back.

Can you imagine Owen re-signing with the joy that Fowler had, even tho Fowler is by far the richer and had nothing left to play for? I don't think so, he'd be far to concerned about the package...

If you ask me, he's always too concerned about the England team........always was, always will be..
Some of his interviews during his latest layoffs have only confirmed this........of course, Sky Sports love that.
