EXCLUSIVE: DANNY'S THE BOY FOR RAFA'S REDS
    By Darren Lewis 05/03/2007

LIVERPOOL are poised to sign Cambridge City sensation Danny Blanchett after the 19-year-old impressed boss Rafa Benitez.

The left-back was handed a 14-day trial last month and has made such an impact that the Reds have asked him to stay on.

The former QPR trainee said: "I am chuffed to bits."

    CLICKY - The Mirror
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

We'll have more left backs than central midfielders at this rate with Riise, Aurelio, (Arbeloa is another that can play there) and Insua already at the club!

I'm beginning to wonder how all of these players being brought into the ressies and youth teams are going to get decent playing time.

warnock is a good footballer, no suprise he is doing well at blackburn, as I mentioned in the Sidwell thread, the gap developing between the top 4 and the rest is getting bigger an bigger, IMO RB probably felt Warnock wasn't good enough to be 1st choice here, and Warnock wanted first team football(can't blame him) great bit of business for blackburn tho - for a young lad he has been through a lot, been invloved in some massive games and is a good professional. Good luck to him

I know it's great that we are signing all these prospects left right and centre - but are any of them any good or are they just prospects. We seemed to do a similar thing last season, signing the likes of Hobbs, Anderson etc and we haven't seen/heard much - everyone raves about the Arsenals youngsters and how Wenger only signs youngsters who would be capable/ready straight away - now I know you can't guarentee that a young lad, no matter how good, will be able to cope walking into the first - but I can't help but get the feeling we are just signing all these youngsters in the hope one of these might be top quality, rather than signing them because they ARE quality
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
