If we'd really wanted Trezeguet would we not have got him in the summer of 2006 when Juve got relegated? Makes no sense going for him now when Juve are on the verge of returning to Serie A. Plus surely the guy would only be a stop-gap? He's getting on a bit.

I don't think Crouch will be at Liverpool next season.

I also think signing Trezeguet would be a huge mistake, a player who drifts in and out of the Serie A games, will not be able to adapt and cope with the pace and physical demands of the premiership. Just look at how much Schevchenko (sp) has struggled.

I know you can't argue with his stats, but he'd be another Moro, in my opinion.

Wasn't it for third-party ownership, as in a non-club company, an "outsider"? I do agree though that this is a red herring, a pretty stinky one at that.
