    Absolutely pathetic

Good luck sorting out accomodation, travel, money etc at such short f*ckin notice people, UEFA are busy picking their noses and scratching their arses.

    From the official:

UEFA today informed Liverpool Football Club that the decision on the away venue of the 3rd Qualifying Round of the Champions League has been postponed and will not be released until Monday 14th August.

Liverpool won the first leg against Maccabi Haifa 2-1 thanks to goals from Craig Bellamy and Mark Gonzalez but with the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, UEFA have ruled that the return leg can not be played in Israel.

As soon as UEFA announce the new venue, we'll bring you the news on liverpoolfc.tv.

It wont be in Cyprus. Their goverment has refused permission saying that there are too many Lebanese refugees there to ensure the safety of Israeli fans

I saw that...****ers. I read the article waiting for there to be some reasoning as to why, but no.

Naughty. I assume this is either a) Haifa's fault for not providing adaquate information re: their choices, or b) UEFA screw-up. SHOCK HORROR

Apparantly the secretary on the second floor of their Geneva office is retiring, and they decided to go to the pub for lunch. Lennart Johansson has just rang the office, asked them to turn his PC off as they are staying out all day on the lash, followed by a trip to the lappies and a kebab.

We'll play it at Goodison Park.

We can't fly out of the country due to the security, the ground is a neutral venue and it will be the only Champions League that the ground will see.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

I'd rather play at their own ground in Haifa, even if its been bombed. It'll be in a better state than the Bitter's delapitated ****-tip, plus the smell of rotting flesh will be better to bear than the insidious smell eminating from the years of ****e on the field.

Plus remember that it'll cost more in floodlighting, even during the day. The sun never shines in our shadow

uefa bolloxed this up by leaving it about 10 days before they said it had to be outside israel. that should have been a given when the draw was made, allowind haifa plenty of time to make arrangements. it's understandable that haifa may stuggle a bit to get someone close to them to stage the game. i'm quite happy anyway, as cyprus looked quite a pain to get to for a 2 day trip - hopefully it'll be kiev or rotterdam now.
