In fairness i thought the RTE punditry last night was poor. Ususally its the best but last night they failed to give liverpool any credit for their victory over the two legs.

              Personally, I think that's a good thing..
They gave us plenty of credit at half-time (and rightly so, great performance)..
But we were awful in the 2nd..
Now, all the lads on RTE laid into us........but it was the same 2 years ago. They harped on constantly about how poor LFC were and how any team with the likes of Biscan, Garcia etc couldn't win shag all, all the way upto half-time in Istanbul !!
Long may it continue, hopefully its a sign of things to come

at half time in that game dunphy actually said the game wasn't over and said he was unsure of ac milans resiliance because we were gona come out and throw the kitchen sink at them! i took my head out of my hands at that stage and thought what the **** is he on!

They offer insightful tactical analysis. They may both be deeply 'unfashionable' (can you have uncool co-commentators? ) and stutter incoherently at times, but they're a cut above the rest.
                    Agree about Graham Taylor

Disagree about Pleat, he stumbles and stutters and his 'tactical' incite is normally a load of old cock......well IMO anyway

Couldnt agree anymore if i tried, i find taylors general way very endearing. Helped by his appearances on 'the match' on Sky - hes got a great sense of timing.

In my opinion Pleat is an outdated idiot with about as much charisma as a rusty toilet brush.

I wasn't aware co-commentators have to be charismatic charmers.

Taylor and Pleat are cut from exactly the same cloth and are both old school, coming from the same generation.

Pleat also ****ing loves us, says we're the best club in the country, have the best fans and Anfield is the greatest stage on which to play football. He also virtually worships Benitez and his tactical acumen.

                            Sometimes you just can't win.

I think this deserves more coverage. It is truly unbelievable - some of the worst punditry I have ever, ever seen.

Yeah he appears to like us and its nice to hear, but i just dont like him what he says or how he delivers it. Trevor francis is the only summariser i dislike more. If you like you mono-tone voices thats your thing mate.

They are from the same era's but i cant help but find taylor infintely more interesting to listen to.

I just wish i didnt have to watch it on the box and i was close enough to get to watch the team first hand so i didnt have to listen to any commentators.
