Certainly. He's not match fit, as predicted by Redscouser, and Carra and Agger would have kept Rush and Dalglish out tonight.

I think taken off Bellamy was a stupid decission like it was on Saturday that would be my only problem of a magical night

I think all of Rafa's substitutions were perfect. I don't think Stevie would have been defending back where Pennant was anyway.

I agree with you. That change meant that Messi got a lot more space to work with. We needed players to defend at the end of the game and that isn't exactly Pennants biggest strenght.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Its ify, now Bellamy was worth leaving on the pitch his pace scared the hell out of them in the two games.

Its negative and that only invites teams on like it did tonight. Kuyt looked wrecked when Bellamy was going off wrong choice for me even though Kuyt did well enough but still off his own standards.

I think the only reason Beller's was replaced was because he had nothing left in the tank. To be honest though not that we should be commenting on subs but I would have taken Bellamy off still but brought Crouch on and moved Kuyt to the right.

Rode our luck towards the end but deserve to go through..........if only we had a worldclass playmaker/winger and striker we would have made that loom easy. Need to start putting our chances away......kuyt looks knackerd could do with a rest!!!

Bellamy didn't look at all happy coming off so I doubt that.IMO it was the wrong choice.Rafa always leaves Kuyt on cos he works hard putting defenders under pressure but the ball was rarely there which made it pointless.Bellamy's pace would've made all those balls we played down the channels worthwhile to put and made them defend deeper which wouldve helped taken the pressure off.
