    This Arbeloa lad

(in a non gay way) I really like the look of him, looks to be a good reader of the game and confident in his defending.
Got his distance right more times than not, decent pace and not afarid to
put the boot in,i don't see any weaknesses in his play.

Superb addition to the squad, think he could play anywhere across the
    back 4.

Gudjohnsen was onside because of him

    (like this really matters anyways...)

PS: I thing he was mainly bought for Barca games

Looks good so far Marky, aye.

I like his attitude. He looks brave, decisive and strong. Pretty quick too.

It's early days though - Josemi looked excellent in his early appearances, although clearly he never came up against such opposition in those games.

That said, Arbeloa looks much, much better than Josemi.

      So far so good.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

        Well....apart from that...

He is surely a better signing than that golddigger Lucas Neill...

Ha, if you compare him to Josemi, he's a world beater!

Yeah early days for him, true but he really looks like he knows what he's doing, looks in control of situations.
Time will tell i suppose but the signs are very encouraging thus far.

i want to see our full backs go forward and be able to whip in crosses and beat the occasional man as well as being able to defend. Ok Barca debut isn't necessarily the place to do the things i'd like to see but two games doesn't make a great player. Potential though and i feel much better with him than that knob neil

                    Uncomplicated, effective, good pro
                    We need better attacking players!

He seems to be a very good one-on-one defender. He is hard to get past, and he is pretty fast.

Shame he got booked because he was holding back from challenges, but overall I agree mate

Arbeloa has looked really solid so far. he reads the game well, has a fair turn of foot and is very solid in the tackle. He did play Gudjohnson on side for their goal but he's bound to get caught out now & again until he gets 100% in tune with our offside trap & his fellow defenders. So far he's been very impressive.

Just got in from the match and I have to agree that Arbeloa was excellent.Apart from their goal when he played the albino onside he was superb.

How on earth did we not win that game though?

Thought his booking was very, very harsh, so early in the game as well, he won the ball cleanly.
That ref was a fussy so and so i thought.

Arbeloa showed excellent discipline there after especially up against a nippy wee bugger in Lionel Messi.
