I think we controlled the FA Cup game for the most part. Arsenal just got everyone behind the ball - rare for them - but they were very negative and hit us with sucker punches and Dudek couldn't catch a cold. We had almost all of the ball but couldn't break them down. Surprise surprise.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostWe've played them 3 times this season, I can't remember us being on top in any of them. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

That was freak game and it was our reserve line up but we didn't deserve to lose 6-3. Again, we missed some chances and they scored with virtually each attack, same as the FA Cup game.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostSo you think the game we lost 3-6 at Anfield we controlled the game?
Nothing I can say to you if that's the case.

The fact that we couldn't break Arsenal down in the games except for the league cup match which we lost 3-6 gives me a great deal of concern about facing them in the next round.
They're the only team I don't want to face over 2 legs. I can't remember the last time we won at Highbury or even looked like winning.

Was it when a young Stevie Gerrard played a wonderful through ball for Titi Camara to finish brilliantly past Seaman?Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostThe fact that we couldn't break Arsenal down in the games except for the league cup match which we lost 3-6 gives me a great deal of concern about facing them in the next round.

I know what you're getting at though. Frankly I'm desperate to avoid all of the English clubs. It'd be a totally unpleasant 180 minutes of football. I couldn't stand it.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Well I put highbury because I know we've been outclassed every time we've been to the emirates so it seemed pointless to even mention that.Originally posted by Mumsafan View PostThat's ok cos we won't have to play there
I don't know what's so controversial about saying I don't want to face Arsenal, I think they are the one team that could trash us.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

Yes and the opposite is true of Arsenal, but I would still prefer them to get thumped tonight or by another non-SCUM team in the next round.Originally posted by Mumsafan View PostThing is this is Europe. We turn into a different entity. We can do anything!
