The Greek police wouldn't have a clue how to deal with both sets of fans. The only way trouble could be minimised would be to fly in our own bizzies over for the game.
if it happened, i would like to think UEFA would have the sense to move it to Wembley or Cardiff. if it was in Greece, it would be mayhem. We have an enormous travelling support, as do you lot. i'd imagine maybe 50 - 60 thousand from each side heading over, most without tickets. there would be fighting everywhere, people, unfortunately, would probably get killed, the greek police wouldnt be able to cope, and English clubs would never kick another ball in Europe again.

Are you serious?
Greek police have to deal with Olympiakos, Panathinaikos etc fans every week. They know all about hooliganism and crowd rivalry.
Although having so many fans travel from overseas and trying to police that would be a logistical nightmare.
In an ideal world you'd like to think both sets of fans would have enough sense to behave. But we know in the real world that isn't always the case.

Yeah, I'm being serious. The Greek police have more or less failed to control hooliganism in Greece who have one of the worst records in Europe re football violence.
Whereas British police (along with the help of all clubs) have managed to root out hooliganism in Britain, other countries such as Italy and Greece have failed and that has alot to do with the quality of policing within those countries.
Without the know how of British police, a Liverpool v Man United Champions League final in Athens would be a disaster.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
As horrible as it sounds............it`s true,it would be ****ing carnage out there
got to agree, was speaking to my best mate yesterday who's a manc and we spoke about a possible pool-manx final. I couldnt help but think that it'd be mayhem out there esp if we got tickerts that meant that if we sat together we'd be in either the utd/pool end.Dont think that could happen without **** kicking off.

The FA should pay the Greeks off and hold it at Wembley if its Manure v Pool for the sake of English football. Sometimes you just have to adapt.
