If you read my previous posts I've always said exactly the same because that's what I was constantly told by people at AFL. However, I think Hicks especially has decided he wants architects who will find solutions rather than talk about why they can't do something.

All I'm saying is "watch this space"...

My response about capacity was aimed at the people who were getting carried away.
the created out of thin air was aimed at the 90000 comments etc.

echo today shows the new stadium being started on. im fairly sure its a bit much to ask to have a new 90,000 seater designed and approved already seeing as work is 'commencing' as we speak

Rupert isn't fussed about this site. Actually he probably gets about as much grief here as D*nk himself does, and rarely visits. Insider (II) cartainly does, but we've never managed to actually pin down an account that we could say with any certainty could be D*nk himself

As I understand it it is Hicks who wanted to replace AFL with HKS, a Dallas based architect's practice that designed the American Airlines Arena. I've met many people from AFL in the past including the Director I mentioned previously and to be honest I think Hicks would have thought they were incompetent pricks.

I believe Hicks and Gillett (and/or Parry) had a meeting at the end of last week with Richard Leng and Garry Rowlands when they were told the bad news.

The guy Trousers mentioned was Steve Unwin who runs the Liverpool office and was probably also present.
