and also our youth team now is the first one who's been at meelwood from the start, so that might be a factor, maybe there are brighter days ahead..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

What are they then?Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostAnderson has a few problems it seems, Hamill is in Scotland and Hobbs hasn't seen any first team action.
Whats wrong with Hamill being in Scotland, he is getting first team experiance (even he has said he wil lcome back a more complete player) and he has been their star player against Rangers and Celtic which surely have to be good signs...
Just because Hobbs hasn't played for the first team doesn't make him less of future prospect
Especially when he has 3 world class centre backs in front of him!

we've only been buying kids in like this for 18 months. how quickly do you expect results?Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostWE should sort out our youth development before we sign all these kids.
SO many promising youngsters end up getting loaned out to some 4th rate french or spanish team.
We rarely get non-English youngsters actually coming through and playing regular football for us. In fact, I can't think of 1.
There must be something wrong with their development, Ajax fans rightly had a pop at us for that when we signed Jordi Brewer or whatever his name is. I think they called us a "talent graveyard" or something.
It's about time we sorted ourselves out in this respect, either that or stop signing these kids.

HATTERS SIGN LIVERPOOL STARLET IDRIZAJ ON LOAN
Besian Idrizaj
Luton Town have completed the surprise loan signing of 19-year-old Austrian striker Besian Idrizaj from Premiership giants Liverpool until the end of the season.
Idrizaj has yet to make his senior debut for Liverpool and so will make his League debut in the white and black of Luton Town. He did, however, net twice on Tuesday evening after coming off the bench as Liverpool’s reserves beat Wigan Athletic.
Idrizaj, who can also play on the left-wing, is a 6ft 2”, 13 stone powerhouse who was born in Baden, Austria, and joined Liverpool from LASK Linz in the summer of 2005 on a two-year contract following a successful trial spell at Anfield. He had joined LASK Linz in 2003 from fellow Austrian side Admira Linz.
He had been the Austrian Young Player of the Year for 2004-05 at the age of just 17 after making 35 appearances and scoring 3 goals in three years after making his debut as a 16-year-old during the 2003-04 campaign.
On signing for the Merseysiders, Idrizaj said, "I have always been a Liverpool fan and it is a dream come true to play for them. If you get a chance to go to Liverpool on trial then you have to take it. You cannot ignore a trial with the reigning Champions League winners. I would even have swam across the channel just to take part."
Unfortunately, his 2005-06 season was beset by injuries, but this season he has been a regular member of Hughie McAuley and Gary Ablett’s Reserve side.
He becomes the second Austrian to play for Luton Town after Friedrich Breitenfelder’s short spell with the club during the 2000-01 season.
It appears that the deal to sign Idrizaj on loan had been made by Mike Newell prior to his sacking on Thursday afternoon, but caretaker manager Brian Stein has moved to finalise the deal in the hope that Idrizaj can aid Luton’s battle against relegation. He becomes the third player on loan at the club, joining Watford’s Clarke Carlisle and Fulham’s Björn Runström.
Joining Luton Town with the Hatters 2nd bottom of the Championship table, Idrizaj will quickly become a Hatters legend if he can score the goals that keep the club in the Championship.
Story date: Friday, March 16, 2007Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
