    Did anyone see him play?

    Defender Carl Medjani has left Liverpool for French side Lorient.

    Medjani was signed by Gerard Houllier in 2003 but never made a competitive appearance for the Reds. The closest he came was as an unused subsitute against FBK Kaunas in last season's Champions League second round qualifier.

    Medjani joins Lorient, who he spent 2004/5 on loan with, on a free transfer

      Alou Diarra, did he ever play a first team game for us in his 3 years?

        i saw him play down in wrexham 2 years ago. that was it, never saw him before or since.

          He played in 2-3 friendlies in summer 2005...+ I saw him play with the U-20 french national team...He will be a solid CB in "La Ligue 1".

              seen him play a few friendlies and a few reseve games. to be honest he has always looked quite good when ive seen him. hes deffo got talent, so i can only presume his attitude isnt the greatest towards training as the reason he wasnt given a chance.

                He refused to play in England after Ged left

                I've seen him play often for French u20 side. He's the Captain. More than a Useful player.

                Neither he nor Diarra ever played a competitve game for Liverpool. Medjani was signed on a Free and let go on a Free.

                  I think he came on for a few minutes in a CL qualifier as a makeshift forward, when we were loosing the game (but not the tie)..........he is a bit like peter crouch but with muscle

                    I saw him play. He played in the same side as Sean Dundee, Jean Michel Ferri, Alou Diarra and Frank McGarvey (ok ok - showing my age I know!).

                    Liverpool born and bred.

                      He only played in Friendlies. He never played in a competitive match. He might have been on the bench, but never played

                        Never saw Diarra play but I've got his autograph on a signed shirt from pre-season 2003 before he went out on loan to Lens (I think). I only know it's his signature because he added his squad number!

                        I've seen Medjani play for the reserves and always thought he was a decent young defender. I'm surprised we've let him go to be honest.
