It's not as if we can point to attractive football as compensation is it?

Rafa you've got to win us number 6 - or else.
try saying the same thing when we slog our way to a win - or a loss at home to a**** underperforming barcelona - and watch the reaction.

Agreed puts a bit of a shine on what was otherwise a VERY nothing day.

Were the lads out on the piss for St. Paddys last night?

its so frustrating to see them fail at the basics. like controlling the ball and making a pass to feet, is that so hard?

watching kuyt is getting more frustrating by the week, abysmal first touch, awful passing, and absolutely no threat in front of goal. workrate means ****all if you cant do anything with possession

Sissoko is a great destroyer and all that, but he's a million miles away from Stevie G as a player. Imagine being played out of position to acommodate a player far inferior to yourself against ****e like Villa. It's different against Barca I accept, but we weren't chasing the game there so there was a use for Sissoko. Today he was absolutely useless. Rafa sends the wrong message by picking Sissoko with Gerrard wide. It shows too much respect to ****e sides like Villa, Bolton etc, etc. We're better than these teams. Play Stevie in the middle and let him dominate.
It's about bodies in the box too. In the middle SG is one of the few who gets in there. Take him out wide and we're lucky if we've got one striker in the box when a cross comes in. At the end of the day it comes down to numbers. If you've got enough bodies in the box, you have a greater chance of scoring. We've got to sort it out and soon.
