I know it's not but whatever you say about fitness and technique back then, Linekar was fooking quick

Not for me but each to his own

PS: Klaas Jan Huntelaar is far better. I would love to have him here.

What was clearly evident, while having a good nose for where the goal is, is that he is very one paced - poor acceleration, average top speed. He is also light-weight and gets moved from the ball pretty easily. From the showing last night I don't think he'd make it in England, and the £15m price tag seems vast - I'd put him nearer £6/7m. Massive gamble.

Plus points are that he's decent in the air, very good accuracy with shots, works hard (where have I heard that before!), and looks to play honest.

            Kuyt is a better athlete.

Huntelar is a far better footballer.

I dont care about pace. He has one job on the pitch. To score goals.
I love players like that. And he has a real talent for it.

jesus the defending in that huntelaar video was awful. the dutch league is no measure of a player's talent imo. he looks to be the kind of striker we need, a pure finisher. pair him with a pacy striker and we'd be on to something

I notice Huntelaar started for the Dutch last night and played the whole game, while Kuyt was an unused sub.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
