God yes, that was awful. I don't think we created 1 chance.

There's only one man who can find them.

We could all do our Football Manager routine: sign player A, B and C and we'll be title challengers, but Rafa's the one who has to do it for real.

But it's not just about signings. His tactics in the Premiership are far too negative, look at the scum this year, Arsenal in years past. It pays to have an offensive approach, especially against the non top 4 sides. Look at what the scum did to Bolton the other day, showed them up for the pub team they are. That's the 5th placed team in the league. We rarely pummell teams like that, and it's not just the scoreline, it's the manner in which it's done.

IMO Rafa deserves at least another 3 years after this to get it right. He did it at Valencia so that gives me confidence, as does his record in the cups. He just needs to get his head out of his arse and dump the negative tactics and send the team out to get at them.

Those games were also awful but for some reason this game was IMO the worst game I’ve seen for a while.

I’ve haven’t been so bored and uninspired by a game of football in a long time. You could see how the game would pan out after 15-20 minutes it had a dull 0-0 draw written all over it.

Our worst performances this season IMO have been

              Manure away
              Arsenal away
              Portsmouth Home
              Boro away

After 30 mins I finished off painting the en-suite, hoping than when I came back, it might have improved.

The defeat at Castle Greyskull was horrible.

Newcastle away, Blackburn away and Chelsea away. Missed loads of chances and it cost us.

Sheffield United away anyone? Played like absolute ****e until they scored and we finally woke up.

I make that 10 **** performances in 30 games so far. Shocking really.

EDIT. Just remembered Bolton away. Make that 11 out of 30.

I'd add Blackburn at home to that list as well.

Our performance in the FA cup wasn't much better, neither was the 6-3 defeat at Anfield

Ultimately we need to really step it up next season

                          a) The start of our season - we need to start with real momentum

                          b) Wipe away the lesser lights in the EPL - for eg beat Villa in the first half - ala Utd or Chelski

                          c) Beat the others of the big three home and away

No much work this summer Rafa

And we are all hoping that we`ll be spending $$$$ this summer, as yet we have no hard evidence of this

Of course I`ve forgetting the impact of Voronin will have

                            Strongly disagree.

If we dont challenge for the title next season he'll be under massive pressure.

                              Of course he will be.

Then again if he takes us all the way to number 6 he might get a longer period of grace.

I think he deserves the next 3 seasons. It's what Houllier got. Rafa should at least get the same.

Agree with all those points. Today’s performance (and others this season) shows that we are way behind the Mancs and Chelsea in terms of quality in the Premier League. Way behind.

Rafa will definitely get a decent transfer kitty this summer. I just hope that he’ll spend the money wisely as he can’t afford to have any dodgy signings.

I don’t think that Voronin’s arrival will have a massive impact on our squad.
