No matter how much arm waving and encouragement is done on the touchline its hard to get that out of some player's mindset. Look at Arsenal yesterday... they've lost ALL heart.

I do feel for fans who've spent heavily on attending the match... hard-earned cash as well. However, contrary to your opinion it is predictable... ok, maybe not quite 30% but under-performing certainly... they're only human.

We'll get it back for Europe... people's castigations have been quite frankly way over the ****ing top considering the situation we are in.

I agree with a lot of the comments on here that the players showed a real lack of effort yesterday, and to a certain extent with the league season nearing its end and a top 4 place all but secure I can understand that a little bit.

But you would think with the supposed extra money coming in this summer for some big transfers that a few players are playing for their futures and might try a bit harder?
They just didn't looked arsed a lot of them and that's not acceptable for any club let alone Liverpool FC.

No we weren't. We lost, and created ONE clear chance. We were okay, had a lot of the ball, but never did enough to win the game.

Against United? We dominated possession and played pretty well, granted, but we still lacked a cutting edge. The only clear chance I recall was Crouch's chest/half volley that was saved by van Der Sar.

Splitting hairs though really. The fact is we're not playing well now and it's been a horribly depressing domestic season.

I can't believe so many people can be so negative!! How long did it take Fergie to win the league with Utd? Now look at them. I think he may have even been very very close to getting sacked back in the day. The main difference between us and Utd at the moment is consistency. On their day both teams can beat pretty much anyone in the world. Consistency on the pitch comes from consistency off it. What Rafa is doing at the moment with the youth policy will pay dividends - maybe not for a few years, but it will. If we got rid of Rafa in the next year or two all his good work would be undone, we would follow a potentially different path under a potentially very differently styled manager. If we chop and change every few years we will never get the league titles we crave so much.
