all the complaints about our strike force at the moment, why not give this kid a run out. Seems to have a knack of getting in the right place at the right time, two goal mouth scores on the weekend

Agreed. I can see Hammill getting in to the squad very soon. With our lack of wingers and a couple of exits I think he will be a regular backup to the starting 11 and then he will just have to see what he can do from there. I know you can't compare the PL to the SPL but I really think this guy could turn out to be a very very good player for us. He reminds me of a Barnes McManaman mix and seems to have all the attributes for a modern footballer.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI'd be more interested to see Hammill given a go. He's a flair player, the sort we're abysmally short of at the moment.
Can't say I have seen much of Lindfield(sp).

I wish we would recall Hammil now, just give him a chance. He has torn both Rangers and Celtic apart. They are not pub sides, Celtic almost beat Milan the other week FFS.
we are crying out for some creativity, some youth, some exitement...and this kid can play!"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

stick him on the bench and give him 10 minutes against reading see what he can do. why not he might score.“At a football club, there’s a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques”. Bill Shankly

It's always the same. After a poor performance we get calls for rafa to try out some of our youngsters (the ones who are playing on loan or in the reserves because they're arguably not good enough or experienced enough for the first team)
Only when they do play - in the case of the Galatasaray and Arsenal games, and don't play particularly brilliantly, we get a lot of the same people saying they're not good enough for Liverpool and the youth system isn't working.
Who'd be a manager eh?

I went to the Celtic - Dunfermline game just to check him out.Originally posted by Harveybirdman View PostI wish we would recall Hammil now, just give him a chance. He has torn both Rangers and Celtic apart. They are not pub sides, Celtic almost beat Milan the other week FFS.

He certainly didn't tear celtic apart.
When he got the ball - which wasn't often - as he was either instructed or chose not to track back much - he did run at the Defence. His close control was excellent; pace poor; final ball average. He rarely made any headway though the team were really poor to be fair
His goal was at the very end when everyone had lost interest - took it superbly
